This Catholic church was named inspired by a Patron St. Michael the Archangel located in the heart of downtown Iligan. Way back 1834 it became a parish separate from Cagayan de Misamis . According to the people it was place near in the river before but due to the unpredicted calamities such as flashfloods it wash away the structure and they agreed to rebuild it in Quezon Avenue Poblacion for safeness.
